SHIRE HORSE EXPERIENCE DAY (A)

Spend a Hands on day with majestic Gentle Giants

in company of some of the most highly respected people in the Shire Horse World.

The day will start at 10am where you will introduced to the horses after a short H & S talk.

One of the horses will then spend the morning being pampered by you! Groomed, Plaited and

 Washed and Powdered - literally!

Then stand back and admire your handy-work, be sure to bring a camera as there will be plenty of opportunity for photos.

A cooked lunch of your choice and drink is available in the on site restaurant and included in the cost of the day.

The afternoon will be spent Harnessing up, and getting a feel of driving the horse, once you are comfortable, the horse will be put to a set of chain harrows in one of our enclosed paddocks and you can experience what it was like to “work the land”. Be sure to bring sturdy but comfortable boots and waterproofs ( the day may be postponed in severe weather ) once the horses are bedded down a cup of coffee and slice of cake will conclude a truly memorable day at around 4pm.

The Day may not be suitable for anyone with a disability or may need special planning so please contact us to discuss.

No more than four people will be scheduled for one day with one instructor, Discounts are available for group bookings, spectators are welcome.
